Aurie Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Aurie ("the Service"), including the web application and browser extensions, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Aurie is a bookmark organizer with optional AI suggestions for bookmarks you have already saved. The Service includes a web application and browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge). An account is required to use the Service.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Aurie only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the Service to store or organize content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to transmit advertising, spam, or unsolicited promotional material.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
• Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all bookmarks, settings, and organizational structures you create within the Service. You are responsible for the content you store. Aurie does not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes other than providing the Service to you.

6. AI Features

AurieAI is optional and off until you turn it on in the signed-in app. The browser extension does not include AI. By enabling AurieAI, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Suggestions, Smart Sort, and missing descriptions are powered by a third-party AI service (Anthropic Claude). Saved bookmark titles, URLs, descriptions, and tags are sent to that service when you use those features. The same bookmark text, and a search query when you search your bookmarks, are sent to Voyage AI so search can match bookmarks by meaning.
• AI-generated content (descriptions, tags, organizational structures) may not always be accurate. Review suggestions before you rely on them.
• Aurie does not record browsing, read page content, or reorganize your workspace in the background. When you generate suggestions, high-confidence changes may be applied immediately. You can undo them, and you can turn AurieAI off at any time.
• Aurie is not liable for changes applied from AI suggestions, including high-confidence suggestions applied when you generate them. You can undo them by editing or deleting the affected items.

7. Browser Extensions

The Aurie browser extensions are subject to these Terms as well as the policies of their respective distribution platforms (Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, Apple App Store). The extension saves a bookmark when you ask. If screenshot thumbnails are on, it captures the visible tab for that bookmark. It does not record browsing, read page content, or call an AI service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Paid Plans

Aurie offers Free, Pro, and Lifetime. Pro is $0.99 per month, billed in advance through Stripe, and renews each month until you cancel. You can cancel from your Profile. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Access continues through the end of the period you already paid for.

Lifetime is a one-time payment of $19.99. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Aurie service: the period during which we operate Aurie and offer the paid features. It does not mean your lifetime. It is not a promise that Aurie will operate for any minimum period, and it is not a promise that any feature will remain unchanged.

A Lifetime purchase is one payment for Pro features while Aurie exists. Ending the service ends that access, with no further duty to host it, store a workspace, or refund the fee, except where the law still requires a refund.

A Lifetime purchase is a fee for the paid features while the Service is offered. It does not give you an ownership interest in Aurie, a license that continues after the Service ends, or any right to require us to keep operating Aurie, keep a feature, or provide a replacement product. Lifetime access follows the paid features we offer while the Service is available.

Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund. Lifetime does not renew.

9. Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will continue, or that access will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.

If we stop operating Aurie, every plan ends, including Lifetime and Pro. Access ends when the Service ends. After that, we have no further obligation to host the Service, store your workspace, provide support, or pay a refund, credit, or damages because access ended, because a Lifetime purchase lasted a shorter time than you expected, or because Aurie is no longer available. This applies to the fullest extent the law allows. Export your data while the Service is available.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page, which will remove all associated data. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aurie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service, including any actions taken by AI features, and including the Service ending or a Lifetime purchase lasting a shorter time than you expected.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability related to a paid plan will not exceed the amount you paid for that plan. For Pro, that is the amount paid in the twelve months before the claim. For Lifetime, that is the one-time payment.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
